• Port of Dover are hosting the Cavell Van and the public is welcome to view it on selected dates in November
• First time the wagon has returned to Dover since the transportation of the Unknown Warrior in 1920
• Entry is only via a valid ticket for the selected date and time. Tickets are not available at the main gate.

Those of you passing through Ashford International station will have noticed the brilliant new ‘time tunnel’ installation that was unveiled by local school children last month, to celebrate Railway 200.

Network Rail and partners across the Government and railway industry have marked the launch of the railway’s first national clock design for over 50 years, at London Bridge station. 

The last national clock design for Britain’s railways was created as part of British Rail’s 1974 design manual. Since privatisation in 1996, the railway has had multiple clocks of many different designs. 

Exhibition takes place in The Old Bookshop on Platform One until Saturday, 1st November

Gates opened at 10:00, and visitors poured in to enjoy a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into one of the biggest and busiest depots in the south east.
