Herne Bay & Whitstable Railway 200 - A range of fantastic events

An update from Southeastern colleague, Mark Jones, on behalf of the Seaside Museum, Herne Bay, and Whitstable Museum

I'm delighted to be working with Southeastern RailwayThe Seaside Museum, Herne Bay, and Whitstable Museum, to bring you two exhibitions celebrating 200 years of railway history and development, from The Canterbury & Whitstable Railway being given Royal Assent, and the first passenger train on the Stockton & Darlington Railway, to the modern day. There will be a host of associated events including history walks, guided tours, documentary screenings, heritage walks, and cycle rides incorporating Crab & Winkle Line TrustSpokes East Kent Cycle Group, and East Kent Model Railway Society.

Our events will start with the opening of our three month Herne Bay and Kent Coast Railway 200 exhibition, at the Seaside Museum from 12th April.
