Get ready for an exclusive tour in our retro Network SouthEast train!

Earlier this year, we launched our retro Network SouthEast train from Charing Cross station and it has been delighting commuters, enthusiasts and passers-by over the past few months, as it goes about its day across our network...and soon you will have the opportunity to take part in an exclusive tour on it!

On Tuesday 26 August, you will have the rare chance to buy one of 250 tickets for a tour on our Network SouthEast liveried train, happening on Saturday 27 September in celebration of Railway 200 Day.

Your journey begins at London Victoria Platform 2 at 09:30, where our passenger hosts will meet and greet you, giving you plenty of time for photographs before the train departs at 10:00. This special tour of around 3 hours will take you on a historic Metro route showcasing the rich heritage of our railway network, travelling via the less frequently used junctions at Stewarts Lane, Factory, and Voltaire Road to Brixton, before continuing to Kent House (with a 10-minute stop) and Orpington – celebrating 100 years of electrification since 1925.

The journey includes a 12-minute turnaround at Orpington, followed by a fascinating visit to Grove Park Depot (circa 1871) where, schedule permitting, the train will go through the train washer – a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse for passengers. Your tour continues via the seldom-used Lee Spur Junction to Slade Green, before travelling through some of London's most historic stations including Cannon Street, Woolwich, Charlton, Greenwich, Deptford, and London Bridge – stations that span nearly two centuries of railway history, from London Bridge (1836) to Slade Green (1900).

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so make sure you save the date and check out our website and social media channels for further details. Trust us, it'll be worth the wait...
